Welcome to the tiny corner of the internet where we give away a few sats and a friendly
reminder.
Short version: please don't waste your 1337 skills here 😅
We know a site called thesatoshifaucet.com with the word "faucet" in it is
basically a magnet for curiosity, scripts, scanners, and general hacker vibes.
So here are some important facts, stated clearly and honestly:
No hot wallet is stored on this server.
No private keys live anywhere near this website.
No direct satoshi-sending logic runs on this web server.
All sending logic is handled offline / separately, independent of this site.
The database here just tracks requests and simple metadata (like invoice & IP), not
funds.
In other words: even if you totally "pwned" this server,
there's nothing to drain.
No faucet funds. No secret stash. No magic "send all sats" button.
But what if you still want to poke around? 🕵️♂️
If you're just a curious developer or security nerd:
This project is for fun, education, and nostalgia, not for storing serious money.
We try to keep the code clean and simple, but it's still just a humble hobby faucet.
If you do spot a genuine security bug, we'd much rather hear from you than fight you.
(Responsibly reporting issues is way more badass than trying to rob a faucet with no money in it.)
No wallet here, no jackpot there 🎰
Just to repeat the key point in case someone skimmed:
The website at https://thesatoshifaucet.com/ does not hold a Lightning
node.
It does not hold a Bitcoin wallet.
It does not have the satoshi-sending logic on this box.
So please don't burn your time, VPN exit nodes, and creativity trying to "hack the faucet".
There is literally nothing here that can give you extra sats beyond what the faucet would send you
anyway.
Use your powers for good ⚡
If you're into Bitcoin, Lightning, and security, you already know there's a lot of important work to do:
Contribute to open source Bitcoin / Lightning projects.
Help wallets get safer and more user-friendly.
Audit real infrastructure that actually secures real money (with permission 😉).
This little faucet is just here to keep the spirit of the original Bitcoin Faucet alive and
to give newcomers a tiny bit of sats. That's all.
